Prospecting is the job everyone agrees matters and nobody has time for. Research a company, find the right person, write something that isn’t a template. HubSpot’s Breeze Prospecting Agent does the first pass of that for roughly a dollar per lead. I’m not going to list its features. Here are three ways to turn it into pipeline, and where I’d start.

Play 1: Follow up the companies already looking at you
The money: companies that have been on your website reading product or pricing pages, but never filled in a form. They’re interested; you just don’t know they exist.
How I’d run it:
- Point the agent at accounts showing website activity in the last 14 days that aren’t already open deals.
- Let it research each account and draft outreach that refers to what they were actually looking at, without saying “I saw you on our site” (that’s creepy). Something like “we’ve been helping companies like yours with X.”
- A rep reads and edits every draft. Send the best ten, not all fifty.
The maths, as an example: at about $1 a lead, 50 researched accounts cost about $50. If that turns into two meetings and one $25k job, the maths isn’t close.
Play 2: Wake up customers who stopped buying
The money: past customers and old opportunities that went quiet 12 or more months ago. They know you, which makes them far easier than cold prospects.
How I’d run it:
- Build a list of closed-won customers with no new deal in 12 months, plus closed-lost deals from a year ago.
- Run the agent on that list to find what’s changed: new sites, new people, growth, news.
- Use what it finds as the reason to get back in touch: “Saw you’ve opened the Brisbane site. Is the line there running the same setup?”
The maths, as an example: if you have 60 dormant customers and three come back with a $15k order, that’s $45k you didn’t have to find from scratch.
Play 3: Start every morning with the right ten calls
The money: reps working through leads in the order they arrived instead of the order they’re likely to buy.
How I’d run it: use Breeze’s lead scoring to build a daily top ten. The rule is simple: call those first, then work the rest. After a month, check whether the high-scored leads actually converted better. If they didn’t, the scoring is learning from bad history, so don’t rely on it.
How I’d actually do it
Start with Play 2. Dormant customers are the warmest list you have, and the agent’s research gives you a real reason to call. Then Play 1. Leave Play 3 until you have enough closed deals for the scoring to mean something.
The caveat: the agent drafts, it doesn’t decide. Never let it send unreviewed outreach under a rep’s name. And predictive scoring on a few dozen closed deals with messy stages is a guess with a decimal point.
Where this fits
For working the pipeline you already have, see Claude inside HubSpot. For deeper research on a single account, Perplexity Deep Research goes further. If the scoring is wrong because the deal history is a mess, that’s CRM Pipeline Rescue.
What shipped, for reference: Breeze is HubSpot’s AI layer. The Prospecting Agent researches accounts, picks up buying signals, scores fit and drafts personalised outreach inside HubSpot, charged at about 100 credits (roughly $1) per recommended lead. Breeze also includes predictive lead scoring and AI forecasting.
